Allen Liu is a 17 years old fashioned designer that sells his clothing on his website - https://www.ink-id.net/ for a piece of 2020 dollars? He said that he is not selling a piece of clothing, but a story behind it. Now, let’s listen to what he has to say: “Where I live, where it is the most diverse city in the entire state, still has the problem of people being judged because of who they are. Fashion could go as early as the origin of the human race. Since Adam and Eve’s first thought, fig leaves became their clothing for nudity after eating the forbidden fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Then clothing was for keeping the warmness during the Ice Age, royalty and social standards in the middle time Kingdom of Europe. For thousands of years fashion has bought us traditions and culture, it supports us physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Long before my interest in fashion, since the first grade, I found curiosity, creativity, and spiritually in myself from thousands of my creations in all types of media. The only similarity I’ve noticed is that art is the only way to truthfully express one’s inner being. It was not until my mentor Virgil Abloh that I haven’t met that I was drawn by how powerful fashion can make an impact. He explained that by establishing the definition of the area between the color black and white, you will get the grey in between. Ever since Virgil Abloh’s picture has been on my wall with his inscription quotes. Every night before sleep I stare for a while, “”I’ve also read his articles and books and inserted concepts and ideas from him into my own design. Becoming him is the goal of mine and exceeding and caring on a greater vision is my ultimate dream.
As I continued exploring fashion in every aspect I’ve noticed and realized that clothing has gone too far from what it was originally created for. In the modern days instead of making clothing for enforcing the high-dimensional wisdom that all civilizations and religions have pointed to, fashion has become something “fancy”, “stylish” and for our outerselfs, but what is the point? There is an ultimate amount of 3-dimensional space in a four-dimensional world. I knew it was time for the better. What am I going to do to make it better? For reestablishing the purpose of fashion. When I stayed up late at night designing and brainstorming my logo, I’ve noticed that no matter what I come up with, it is always exclusion. Even a line I put, it gives a notional feel. (Suddenly I saw a light glazing through a water bottle.) One night before ending the day I saw my lamp’s light directly gazing and reflecting on my unfinished artworks. It was at that moment, I had an epiphany. The artwork has already been completed. It led to thinking. Transparency became the central idea of this business. It is the ultimate inclusion. Things that can’t not be seen or touched are the most precise. I’ve noticed that it was always there, Transparency. These are so common in my everyday life that it got to a point where I can’t feel them anymore. The basics of human needs. Air, water, and love.
Transparency is air, when I was a kid I’ve always asked my mother in a grocery store about why can’t we buy air? If air is the essential of life then it should be the most expensive element forever. Without air, humans, animals and plants wouldn’t have even existed, but at the same time every invisible object has its shadow. Air also doesn’t see the color of our skin, it serves everyone with as much as the needs.
Coronavirus started to spread around the world. Masks are usually hated among most people and I’m one of them. It makes breathing and seeing hard, sometimes the sweats throw me off as well. Moreover, it covers up about two thirds of faces, which is hard to communicate and express our emotions. Most important, it separates our relationship with others. I’ve come up with a collection of transparent masks not hiding away the smile on people’s faces as well as turning social distance into zero distance.
Water is equally important as air, it is transparent as well. H2O always sacrifices itself for all living beings and it goes to the lowest and the dirtiest spots on Earth, it has an extraordinary amount of worthiness but selfless, powerful but friendly at the same time. It keeps its promises every time. Every time when it will wash and keep the dirt to itself. Water is shapeless, formless. It can turn into solid, liquid and gas. Whatever it mixes with, it becomes that. Ink is also like water but visible. It has textures, hues, compositions. My brand is exactly that, it will help bring everyone together but still is a platform to let me express their individualism
I believe transparency is the core of this business. It symbolises inclusion and equality. It is a platform for unity of everyone but still lets them express their individualism. All 7 billion of us have been separated for too long because of our culture, history, religion, race, geography, emomics. Even in the same country that was built of seeking freedom. I dream in the future world, everyone wears my clothing to keep a reminder that we are all different and that is beautiful, at the same time becoming one flesh. Where I live, where it is the most diverse city in the entire state, still has this problem. It took me failure after failure of club communion for this realization to finally happen. I want to have the heart of a newborn with pure love.
“No one should not be defined by anything but in their way, everyone has their own form of living just like water in three states but visible and important like Ink, with unique identification in other word their own ID. When you combine the two it represents living life in your personal way but still connects with others as what I would call - Ink-ID. It can also be seen as In-Kid, the idea that a mind of a child is the precise gift of nature, it is the ideal living condition. As I continued on working by partnering with nonprofit organizations like Earth-Ice™ for producing marchzies spreading awareness of global warming and designing bottles for C60 to cure diseases. I strongly believe that we are all in this together with our cultures as ink with unique indfinications. I will dedicate my life to the reunion of the human race through what is everyone’s cultural traditional clothing. Together, we will flow like water, powerful, impactful, peaceful in an extremely comprehensive harmony. I don’t want to change anyone, it is also impossible for me to change anyone anyways. I just want to make people realize how extraordinary love is through fashion.”
