President Donald Trump has begun a new trend that is on a par with taking selfies on Instagram. Unlike his predecessors, Trump has been using the social media app Twitter to update the country on his political viewpoints for some time now, and now he is threatening entire countries with his tweets.

On April 11, 2018, President Trump made statements about bombing Russia when he wrote a Tweet:
“Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and ”smart!¨¨
Trump tweeted in response to reports on April 10 that Alexander Zasypkin, the Russian ambassador to Lebanon, warned that the United States and its allies that the Russian military would shoot down any missiles fired at Syria.

This is not the only instance of Trump‘s use of Twitter in response to foreign political figures.

According to a political report from CNN, Trump tweeted on Jan. 2 in response to North Korea’s claims of Dictator Kim Jong Un‘s ability to fire nuclear missiles at America through the use of a “Nuclear Button” on his desk at all times.

Trump, as he always does, gave a zealous remark at the dictator’s power.
“Will someone from his depleted and food-starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger and more powerful one than his, and my Button works!”

Trump‘s response, being blithely discussed on social media in front of a mass audience of American citizens, was comparable to that of an adolescent child. Only this time, he has the power to do what he wants.

Some think that it is not fully in Trump’s authority to commit an act of nuclear war, but his claims are not as outlandish as some may think.

Concerning the missile attacks on Syria on April 13, 2018, a significant reason of why the attacks occurred from the start was due to the tweets Trump posted against the Saturday morning news show Fox and Friends.

Officials report state that the real reason that Syria was bombed by the US and its allies was to keep Trump‘s statements credible. The US, in short, had just begun an act of war against a sovereign government because failing to do so would have cast a shadow of doubt on Trump and his tweets.

Secretary of Defense James Mattis states that these attacks were in no way to harm Syria, but a continuation of these actions from Trump and his oblivious tweets could take a further step into more serious actions, actions that could cause the United States serious harm.
