For the past decade, the New England Patriots have been one of the best teams on the NFL. Tom Brady, the team’s quarterback with two NFL MVP and four Super Bowl MVP awards, and Bill Belichick, undoubtedly one of the best coaches in football history, is one of the key factors that have led to the New England Patriots to become dominating. With 5 Superbowl wins, they are considered to be the world’s preeminent football team.

The New England Patriots have an upcoming game this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, possibly the biggest game of the year for both teams. The history of the Patriots and the Jaguars goes back a pretty long time, and when analyzing the stats, the win seems pretty predictable. Unfortunately, the Jaguars have never defeated the Patriots in regular reason, and their last victory was in 1999. The Patriots are holding the streak of 8 wins in a row, not including the 3 playoff victories. With an overall score of 327- 193, it seems like pure Patriots domination.

Despite all this, many fans are anticipating the game held this Sunday. Currently, the Jaguars are maintaining a six game winning streak, a national record tied for third. Additionally, the 24-20 AFC game held at the beginning of the year was the closest the Jaguars have ever gotten to winning the Patriots, a reason why there seems to be hope for a Jaguar win. With a powerful and study defense, they will be going after Tom Brady.

If history repeats itself and continues to follow this repetitive pattern, a striking similarity that has been occurring for the past 20 years will occur once again. A Patriot win is definite in this case. Yet, the Jaguars are ready to change this trend and unseat the Patriots from the top. To do this, it is essential to focus on the future, and at the same time, reflect from the past instead of eliminating it. In this new era where change of culture and tradition is not unusual, will the Jaguars be able to change their history?
